ATC 125M exhaust tip

Hi,

On my 125M the exhaust tip (the bit after the muffler) has been replaced with what seems to be a bit off a farm tractor, is it alright to weld a stainless exhaust tip on to replace the dodgy bit or is is it supposed to be a silencer of sorts?

So in brief I don't know if the original was a special part or a hollow bit of pipe.

the part after the muffler is the spark arrester it makes sure that flames or sparks do not come out of your exhuast for fire safety reasons
