make a 200 fast

hey i just got a 185 with a 200 in it and i wanna make it fast i have to take the motor out cause i need a new top end. what else should i do while i have it apart to save my time later. thanks

Buy a peterbuilt turbo from a semi truck.

You might want to look for a 200x topend to put on it. Or at least a 200x cam. Also if you can find a 200x 24mm carb to replace the 22mm one you have on there.

listen to Fuzzy, get as much 200x stuff as you can. if you don't mind running a little race gas mixed in with premium then get a wiseco 12:1 piston while you're in there.

wiseco all the way. I put one in my 200 and pulling 300+ pounds i can keep it in 5th even up mild hills ...... very good upgrade also the 200x carb. fuzzy told me about that may need to get a new throttle and cable but its worth it. I think the best mod so far ive dont to my little s would be that weisco piston tho.

update on the 200s project for all who care i am putting a wiesco 12 to 1 piston in it boreing it 60 over got a 200x carb getting rebuilt and i am having a pro do all the work so it will all be perfect getting the bottom end new gaskets too so he can check stuff out. i will be running a mix of vp race gas and sunoco super. everything will be like new just rebuilt perfect. oh yea i am also getting the valves ground and cleaned and ground. i hope it rips thanks bye
