First off what kind of a machine is it??
IF it has a CID the timeing mark will be behined the cid. you will have to pull it off the head to see timeing mark on gear.

bottem mark is on the flywheel. you,ll see a 't' & 'f'. on the inside of the case near the top is a nub or a casting on the case which is a mark. it,s hard to see. line up the t on the mark. there is no 180 out on the crank. i guess you know the top side marks
