Can anyone explain to me why am I getting an OHM reading all through my 200X? If I touch the ignition side of the stator and touch the frame I am getting an Ohm reading in between 70-75 with the tester set on 200. I want to know if the grounding is the whole bike and when you turn the switch off does it break or make ground, some reason this is all japanese to me. Any way I am still having some problems with the X. Christian the stator was good when I put it in (Lights were Bright) now after running it for a while the lights are dimm again. I just gave up on it for a bit. Next project is to build a wire harness for it. Thanks for any input guys:confused:
The frame is the gound. and a lot of things have grunds. so you will get a ohm reading. the high reading is because it's going throw something like the ciol alot of wire. to test a harness you have to discanect every thing off it.

the switch makes a ground on off this way it will drain the voltage from the cdi box. the biggest killer of a cdi. is people that kill the motor with the clutch and leave it on run. the voltage stay in the cdi with no place to go it will burn it out. its like leaving the key on in a car.
