I remmeber a few months back someone mentioned putting leather straps on their axle to clean it up and make it look good again. I doubted the thought till today. I went to my local wheelies @thrift store@ and bought a kids size leather belt. I threw it in my desk and forgot about it, till 3 days ago. After I bought my bike and messed with the brakes I decided to put some leather straps on the axle just to see if it works. I cut them to fit and used some nutnbolt weights to fasten them. I have put 15 miles on my bike sence then and dude, I just noticed it start to work. I have some before pics here I am going to post. In a few months when its all clean I'll post some after pics. Here r the pics. Anyone ever do this and have some pics to share? :ugh:

One weekend at the dunes will have it 100% rust free. :)

Just put your trike on blocks, wrap a leather G-String around the axle and PUNCH IT!:headbang:

Biotch will be spotless in milla-seconds and you wont have to deal with that annoying noise it makes as you ride:lala:

after its all clean slip some fork boots over each side and "pimp Ol' SkooL"

I decided to go a little more into my engine and do some good performance mods. It should fire and start the break-in process by next week. After some miles, I will show some pics.

I used to put zip ties on the hubs of my bmx bike to keep them clean.

I would take playing cards and clothespin them to the front forks of my HUffY so the playing card would flap against the spokes of my tire:headbang: .....it would produce (what I thought at the time:loser: ) the most awesome VROOM VROOM engine sound:hail: .....that was the first TURBO'd machine I owned:burnout::duck:

ill stick to sanding and polishing......

faster than waiting ... 180 sand paper... than 320.. than 400... than 0000 steel wool with mothers mag and aluminum polish... than just steel wool.... than rag and polish....

will make that axle look like chrome!!.. might do this on my 200x next time im bored... support it with the rear end in the air.. start it and put it in second gear.. let the motor do the work for me
