Our Big Red has been fouling plugs since we got it, and it has bugged the crud out of me trying to figure it out. I've swapped several carburetors, changed jetting (main jet, slow jet, needle position, etc...)and adjusted pilot screw with no change whatsoever. Finally I decided to look at the ignition system, and was going to advance the ignition timing to make it run hotter. When I got the cdi cover off, I looked at the spark advancer, and it was worn real bad actually causing it to delay. Luckily I have about a gazilion spare parts and found one that was in perfect shape, so I put that on there and advanced the timing a little just to be safe.
Finnaly it runs for longer than 10 minutes without needing a new spark plug. I rode it around the street till I got sick of it and had no problems at all. Pulled the plug to check condition, and it was a nice light brown color:headbang: Now we can actually take this one with us when we go riding:thumbsup:
