250r needs more tork

hi like to say im new to the site and i have juest bought a new 250r but it has nothing near the tork my 350x has and i want to do some thing about it but not ready to do any porting or internals yet i want to play for a wile thinking of geting so v force reed and a pipe but not shore if ill need to do any jeting to go alone with it the 86 250r i all stock for now any help or sugestion will be a help thanks and i think the site has alot of helpful info here

i looked at a set of vforce reeds to put on but unshore if i will need to rejet can anyone help me out

Man, it's a bit tough reading your words. Just to clarify a couple questions, your saying your 250R is an '86 and it wont keep up with your 350X?? First, whats done to your X, and your wanting more torque from a 2 stroke?

Any pictures? What kinda of riding do you do, dunes or dirt?

no the r will get around the x but the x has alot more tork also the 250r has a problum with the clutch it will not disingage all the way that might be some of my problum but i juest got it and have not open the clutch cover up yet sorry for the spelling im just rushing

i am going to be geting the vforce reeds and a pipe for it and i found out i will need to rejet but still unsure of what size jet i need to get dont even know what size the stock jet is

ill have pics of the r when i can get my camera fixed and i have a pic of the x ill put it above my name asap i ride dirt and love to jump also like to race alittle of it all no dunes in fl thow susks

it doesnt matter what you do to that r it will never have the torq of your x because the r is a 2 stroke and the x is a 4 stroke... apples to oranges dude. just like you will never get your x to wind up like your r.. two different beasts...

If you have the money, go out and purchase a Duncan Racing PT Type 6 pipe. This pipe will give you a lot more low end without sacrificing top end.

change your gearing go to like a 42 in the rear that should give you some low end power.

get the clutch fixed 1st. it is DUMB to mod a bike when it is BROKEN.

of corse ive only had the r for a week. im taking it out this week end then ill fix the clutch.in the mean time i am looking in to a few thing to it juest wake the r up alittle. untill i am ready to do porting and a few other thing
