Hello,I wasn't sure what to put as the title for this one hope I got it right but anyhow here's my problem.I just put in new piston rings on my KLT 250 and I cannot seem to be able to get the cam chain sprocket on the mark correctly,I have the manual for it and it says to have the "T"mark on the flywheel lined up with the pointer, well I do that and then it moves if I take the ratchet off the bolt on there,I can get it to stay but is that right?I mean should it always be able to move that easily off the pointer on TDC,also when I do manage to get it to stay and start trying to put the sprocket I have alot of trouble getting the mark on the cam chain sprocket to line up exactly with the mark on the head. The book gets a little vague in certain parts and this is one part where it does not really tell you how to do it exactly,I guess I mean it doesn't tell you how to know if ur messing up when you are putting all of this back on.does anyone have some little trick for doing this?it is the first time I have ever done a job like changing rings or anything and I think I did a decent job in the re- assemblly so I don't want to break it by doing something dumb now.I followed all the steps in the book like lining up the marks the way it says to do it but it's not working out so far, anyhow thanks in advance and if you need pictures I can get them.

Have someone hold the crank on "T" . Install cam sprocket that way. Some bikes doesn't line up "perfect". It should not be 1 tooth off either. it maybe a "T" line off at the most.
Put locktight on CAM sprocket bolts. ALWAYS. If you don't, they may back out. Even if they are torqued.

Ok we got it all lined up yesterday so today I put the rest of the stuff on like the carb and the exaust pipe,I adjusted the valves to what it says it should be in the manual, and then did a compression test, there was no change in compression,I still only get 30lbs and that is after I put some oil in the cylinder before I put the oil in the cylinder the needle on the gauge hardly moved at all,I'll take pictures of the sprocket and the "T"mark tomorrow and put them up mabey someone will spot something I missed but it looks dead on to me,before I forget the compression was the same when it stopped running 30lbs with oil and the same as I described above for no oil.I changed the rings also so that is why I can't understand the difference in the readings with oil and without it.I guess mabey I should have waited another month or rwo and did the valves also anyhow thanks guys
