83 200x / 84 250r rear brake caliper swap?

Will the rear brake caliper from a 84 250r fit on an 83 200x? I have the chance to pick one up at a good price but I don't think they are the same. Bad part is I have to buy it to find out. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I am in the same dilima, I am looking at one on ebay but I don't know if I want to bid on it because I don't want to buy it if it don't work.

I doubt it . Really doubt it actually. Try asking the seller how far apart the mounting holes are diagonally and then get the same measurement on the other caliper.

I know the 85/86 R's had the chain on the oppisite side (ditto for the brakes then) but did the 84? if yes then the caliper would definently not work because it would mount differantly in direction.

Im not for sure bout the caliper working but the chain on an 84 250R is on the opposite side from the 85 86 87 250r
