what kind of upgrades have people done on the 250 ES BR?
not really a speed machine or nothing. but i was just checking mainly for stuff like add ons or swaps. this one has the trailer hitch on the back , can it pull some weight? is it considered the workhorse of the 3 wheelers?
i dunno im kinda new to it all so don't be to hard on me.
Thanks, Howard:thumbsup:

Probly just jetting your carb...putting a good air filter on it and possibly a performance piston would really wake it up.
The 250es's really are the workhorses of 3 wheelers! And theyre faster than any 5 speed Honda Utility Quad too :p

you say jetting the carb, i have the carb apart now. and i was going to buy a complete rebuild kit for it. should i get different jets while im in there. and also i need a new air filter anyways.
i was also thinking of a better exhaust. are these like cars/trucks. i assume they are. you want more air in and more air out.
what type of jets should i get? if im already in there i might as well do a lil something. as for the piston i think i might hold offon that one till the dreaded day comes to rebuild it.
Thanks, Howard:thumbsup:

hmmm....I am nto sure where you can get an Aftermarket pipe but if you do then the new JEtting will really help. Youd have to ask another big red 250 owner abotu what jetting to go with though, man ;)

i have an 85 250SX and as for the jetting you may get to the point that youll have it too rich, i would leave them alone. i was told by the honda tech. by us that they are jetted for what they are capable of with all the stock hardware. and iven if you put on a uni filter for instance you arent going to need to change your jetting. if you can find a performance pipe you would change it but with the stock pipe, and a good filter, sure you can get the air in but you cant get it out fast enough. just rebuild it it made a world of diffrence in my sx and there the same motor. so give that a whirl first. you dont wanna have to be changing plugs because its too rich do you?
