200x not shifting

hi everyone..
i just got 2 84 200x's.one is up and running with little trouble.the other was ok and now it wont shift to the lower gears.1st 2nd and neutral.im thinking the shift fork must have slipped....any ideas? do i have to splitt the cases to fix it?also the rear sprocket seems to have some play in it...like the splines are worn.anyone come across this?

Don't know if this is true for the 200x, but some of the older dirt bikes had rubber bushings that the sprocket was seated into and if they got worn, there would be some play in the rear sprocket...... Had an xr 75 that was set up like that.

well i think you will more than likely have to split the case. if you have to, work in a clean area and have a work bench dedicated to that job, or else you will get confused between parts....and thats not fun...
