Took my 250r out ridding today. Lots of woods trails, rough stuff.
Mostly running in lower gears. Started jumping out of 1st gear. When you try to take off in 1st or get on it, it jumps up into neutral. Does fine in 2nd and the rest of the gears. Clutch felt like it was starting to slip in 1st, before it started jumping out of gear, but in 2nd it was fine. If you hold your foot down on the shifter you can feel it trying to kick up. Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like a worn locking ears on gear or slite bend in shift fork.=total tare down.

Tell me it's not so:mad: That is exactly what I didn't want to hear. But I'm afraid that is what it is going to take

well I pulled the clutch off it tonight to check it out. I found that the inner clutch center has a grove worn in it on the back side, from the thrust washer. Anyone think this could cause it to jump out of gear? I would like to rule out everything else before I split teh cases.
