i have another thread about upgades for the 250ES. 200X mentioned getting different jets for the carb, i already have the carb apart and im buying a complete rebuild kit for it so now would be the time to re jet it. one thing though, i dont have a clue what size? i will be adding a better air filter since it needs one already and im looking to get a new exhaust system as well. not really looking for it to be a speed deamond or anything like that just have a lil more umph to it and you know how it is guys, you gotta upgrade whatever you got no matter if it's a damn moped you'd want more from it, Right!
so, im just kinda looking for more out of it and dont know about the jet size and were to get just jets?
any tips, anyone else with the same trike have some mods?
Thanks, Howard
you will have to give it more air to give it more fuel. you can over fuel it with the stock carb ajusmemts.

Have you looked at what size jet it has in it now?. And i would get the new exhaust for it. All that air and fuel wont have anywhere to go if you are still going to use the same stock pipe.

no im not sure what size it has now, and i don't know how to tell either? i have the whole thing apart right now.
there will be a new exhaust going on no matter if i do anything to the carb or not.
and i am already putting in another air filter but hadn't decided what brand. not sure which ones are the good ones and stuff like that.

stick with K&N or UNI for the filter. either way they should be cleaned and re-oiled on a regular basis. if you aren't putting the filter & pipe on at the same time then you don't need to rejet the carb yet.
You will find that the 250 jets are at max, for the air intake and exh. so don't change the jets till your change exh. and find a way to get more air to the filter. the stock inlet pipe up the center frame will not give you the air the new jets and the UNI filter will require.

so basically im loking at maybe just replacing the exhaust and the air filter, keep the jets on the carb stock. im not sure what id do to get more air in there. cause it will be getting muddy and stuff so i dont know?
any one run like a snorkle set up on there's?
i just keep my jets stock . cause i like the mud.
some people drill holes in the air filter cover to the size of plastic pugs they get at the hardwear store. so they can plug the holes for mud . i find that would be more bother than it's worth.
you should nowtis a change in performance with a new filter and exh system. you may have to ajust the jet screw to give it a little more fuel. (out ccw)
