I bought a brand new carb for my ES off ebay. Well I finally got around to putting it on yesterday, and I'm having some trouble. There is no throttle response at all, as if the throttle cable is way too long. I have it adjusted out as far as it will go. It was fine on the other carb, so I'm at a loss on this. Also, exactly how does the little clip thingy attach inside the slide? Is it supposed to curl around the cable or is it purely by tension?
Thanks

have you looked inside the carb @ open and closed throttle to verify the slide is getting full travel?
the clip laies flat and the spring sets on it. is your slid in backwereds and not going all the way down.(people do that some times)

Exactly what I was thinking. Take the slide out (the round part the cable hooks into) and rotate it 180 degrees. Should work. The cable should stay tight in the slide cause it hooks into the bottom and the spring keeps constant tension on it. Hope it helps.
