83 250r front shocks

I was just wandering what the magic number is for air pressure in my front shocks. I do a lot of trail riding with some medium size jumps (no sand).

The oil and springs are what you want to be looking at. The air is not supposed to be added, and only a couple of pounds is all they can handle.

Yeah, either go with progressive springs (about $80 bucks) or i used heavier oil in mine until i swapped front ends

hey my honda 250r service manual says from 1.7 lbs to 7 lbs max of air pressure, I hope this helps you out, happy wheeling

Thanks, I thought it was suppose to be pretty low. Either my gauge was way off or the previous owner had like 50 PSI in them.:doh:

I wouldn't put any pressure in them. I had a set of fork seals blow right after I put air into them and rode for a few hours.
