200X plastic swap?

I was wondering if anybody has mounted 86-87 plastic to a 83-85 200X? I was told they are different but as I don't have a 86-87 I can't compare it to anything. Is the gas tank different or are the mounting points just that much different? I was just wondering thanks

it is alot diferent! the tank, the mounting points. so on. i had a 86-87 plastic i got from a guy who sold it to me as a 85. it was brand new and still in the plasic. i could tell it wasent right at just a glance. but i tried to fit it. i wasent willing to do all that it would take to make it work, just to have it looking like crap... sorry this is not the answer you were looking for!!

I had a 86-87 plastic i got from a guy who sold it to me as a 85. it was brand new and still in the plastic..........

So what did you ever do with those plastics........
