dont know on a four stroke, but on a 2 stroke it is relatively easy, just pull the foot shifter off, use dentist or doctors needles, and pull it out, slide new one on, on a 2 stroke it is just like a washer, but made out of hard rubber that seals, but i dont know how to do it on your machine, someone else onhere has got to know though, mabey Mr. atc, or Dads.

Hi it's Glenn again. I am the author of the last two replies to your front sprocket question. The shifter seal can be picked out like someone else said but if you have to tear the motor down anyway to replace the output shaft.......
There is a total of six oil seals in your motor. All are available from Honda. They are all non-standard and must be purchased from Honda. I purchased all six plus a carb kit for $58.00. A full gasket kit cost $50.00 (Vesrah). Find out what a new shaft will cost and you will have a pretty good idea of what it will cost you to do the repairs. There will probably be a few small items that need to be replaced but if the motor is running strong and quiet, an extensive rebuild is not likely to be required. Let's face it the S and M models are not race machines and probably get less abuse than the 200X's.
See my other post, we may be able to get in contact and get you the info that you need. Glenn.
