i rejetted my carb this weekend on my 350x, the stock pilot jet was 40 and was stopped up bad. so i put a 42 in it and a 142 main. will it hurt or decrease performance with a larger pilot? because i hear of a lot of people who dont change them.......please help!

Do a search for "jetting". You'll find plenty of advise.

should be fine either way
my 350x is stock and it has 42 pilot. starts easier.

On all my 350x's when i put an exhaust on them they needed a bigger pilot. Id rather be on the rich side then the lean side. You can go eather way its really not going to hurt too much running the stock one. But If i rember correctly it ran much better down low with the larger pilot.

I found this as well on alot of the 200's and the 350x going slightly bigger on pilot was a major help in starting and little better on the bottom. Some trikes were fully stock... So I am with NOS and Random...
