i have in my possesion a pop up piston. what im asking is if i should put it on my 85 200x. im putting the motor back together today so please help asap. and i would appricate any extra info on this piston. weather i need to run jetted carb. aftermarket exuastor what ever. thanx for any help

Due to the fact that you used the word "pop-up" I have to ask, What is the piston intended for? Sorry for the dumb question, terminology is relative, I just want to make sure you are not trying to throw any ole piston in there...

Remember when making changes in pistons, clearences are important...

lol its no problem, it is a 12;1 compresion, were the middle looks like it pops up, it has slots i supose for the valves. but i talked to a repair man and he said i would have to run racing fuel in it so.. i said for get it

yeah, a 12:1 compression would require race fuel. and its not a pop top. proper terminology is Dome Top ;)
