i have an 85 350x with full cobra exhaust, 42 pilot jet, 142 main jet, and needle clip moved down one notch. for the mixture screw the book says 2 1/2 turns out, should i turn it out more or less considering that i went up in pilot jet size?

Plug chops are the only way to find out on the jetting , Go buy some new plugs

It's a Pain to get spot on but it can be done !

Your looking for a golden brown look ....

defiantly a good way

just put the screw 2 1/2 out, and see what the plug looks like

adjust from there.
