What's a good product or method to use to remove spray paint from plastic fenders and gas tanks?? I picked up an '86 Tecate that the previous owner had painted over. I don't care if the plastic is faded as long as it's the original green color.

Just make sure what ever paint remover you use is save for plastics so it doesn't melt them. I've never done it.... but after I got them as clean as I could with the paint remover, I would "wetsand" them with steel wool til all the scratches, etc are cleaned out and all the paint is gone. After it is all clean and dull, wipe a couple coats of PC Plastic Renew (I got it from rockymountainatv.com) to bring the shine back.

Good idea. I'll try it. It's GOT 2 B better than the crappy paint that's on there now.
