I thought of doing that to my olf sx tank before it became a spagetti strainer but the guy down the street from me who knows 3 wheelers like the back of his hand said it workes realy good. the only advise he gave me was to remeber to remove the petcock. the shop by me also likes it. so its worth a try i would think. beats a new tank!

I also have had good luck with it. Thankfully all of my Yamaha tanks have not needed this treatment yet!;)

when i was going to do my Tank it was like a spagetti strainer on the bottom with some slots, and they told me if i j-b welded or bondo'ed the bottom of it then followed the directions i would be good to go. but i went with plastic i had way too many dents in the tank to save her.

My wife's 200s tank had some rubberized coating done to the inside of it before I bought it. I think it's the stuff you're talking about. We've had the bike about 3 years, and have had no problems with it at all. We live in a dry climate, so that might help also...
