i am trying to remove the forks out of the tripples on my 84 200s i've taken out the two bolts and loosened the allen at bottom but the fork slider wont budge are there any other bolts i'm missing or is it common for these to be difficult? thanks for the help
you pull the two bolts and try to get the shock tube to slide out of the triple.
From the pic of it it should come apart after you pull the allen in the bottom out.
does the slide move up and down or is it stuck??

well one broke screwdriver, one broke punch, and one broke chisel (just the tip) and i got it, the good thing is now that i understand what it takes, the 200m should be no problem

Sounds like You beat the hell out of it. What does it look like now? I never pry on Aluminum, always use plastic if you have to. What allen are you talking about ?

okay maybe my terms werent right i found out that the slider is the alum part and the fork is the crome part that gos into the tree, sorry for the wrong input. the part i wanted out was the fork out of the tree only prying was done to the tree not the slider itself so everything turned out alright no damaged parts
