250sx wont start

i have a 85 honda 250sx and i was riding one day in some very very shallow water and then out of nowhere it drops to like 4 feet and i didn't see it so my trike falls in and so i got it out and took it home and drained and replaced all the fluids and got all the water out but it still wont start:wtf: ... it has a spark and i replaced the spark plug and i still cant figure out whats wrong with it, anyone have any ideas?

Do you have a compression gauge (tester)?

You need compression, spark, air and fuel to start.

You may have bent a valve if it sucked water.

You sure you got all the water out of the carb??

If everything seems to be OK, try using some starting fluid on it. If you have spark, it will fire.

That sounds like it. Water in the carb. they do fill up with water.
