I was wondering if anyone had any links or resources to find a 1983 ATC 250R head gasket. But, its not all a 250R motor, it has the optional Honda 300 Kit installed on it, so I need a head gasket (the copper type gasket) for the 300.
I've looked around no luck, and service honda doesn't have it either.
Thanks

do you have the old one??? copper is reusable ,, all you have to do it heat it up to realign the molecules and reuse,,,,,,

yeah we have the old one, but i think you are supposed to get a new one. we just cleaned up the cylinder, and need to put it back together. the old gasket compresses down and i think you are supposed to use a new one since the old one is already compressed down. but im not sure if you could get away using the old one or not.
i guess we'd prefer a new one if we can find one, or might be stuck using the old one.

did you read my post? its true,,, do some research,,,, copper is REUSABLE!! all you have to do is anneal it,,,,
Copper can be simply annealed by heating with Oxy/Acet. to a dull red (800 - 1000 deg.C) and spraying with water to soften gaskets for reuse on many rebuilds.
Copper is incompressible, so once torqued, no need to retorque.

wait a minute! you said it compressed down? like a regular head gasket? sound like you have a fl350 head gasket on there, is it just solid copper or not?

yeah its solid copper with the holes around it, not sure how many there are. but i think when its bolted on it compresses it down some.
