The best thing to do is let it warm up for a few minutes and turn it off and let it cool off. Then start it up and let it get warm again. I usally do that about 4 times to get the rings to seat good before i start riding it. Then i take it easy on it for a couple of days.

Make sure to change your oil a week after you begin breaking it in, and then once more a few weeks after that, thats what I've always done.

i would just let it idle and rin it reall low in the rpms for a while. thats what the tag says on my motorcycle so i think that would be good for it.
