1. Are there any floor boards that are made for my bike? running over my foot sucks.
2. what is a good snow tire? i just want to plan for the future
3. the brake light is non-existent. will like a trailer brake light do the trick if i find a way to rig it up?
4. how hard is it to work on the drum brakes? i think i'm going to have to do a brake job for the front and rear. and what brakes would you recommend?
5. i think that is all the questions i have for now.... though i may update my q's later!! :headbang:

thanks for any help :)

6. my front tire slightly moves around like a very slight amount, like a millimeter or two despite the for not being moved. it will like move a very little which you can see between the drum and the wheel? what are potential reasons for this? i am missing the nut that goes on the left side of the fork when sitting on the bike.

i am sure some one on here will trade you a stock muffler for yours.

it sounds like you need a bearing kit in the front rim.

NEVER put your foot down when riding a trike. that = broke ankle

a trailer light should work but i bet you can find a dozen trike lights on ebay.

a stock muffler would be sweet if it's in as good condition as my muffler is now. i've been searchin ebay for a trike brake light with little luck, hopefully something will turn up soon. i'm going to tackle my rear brake situation on saturday, this should be an interesting time, that is for sure....

Brake/taillight:

Obviously the factory tail light is the best option for a light, but you can buy trailer side marker lights at Walmart for like 1.97 or something with two bulbs in them and a little pigtail ready to wire up if you're looking for a very respectable temporary solution. I have one on my Yam 225 because it had nothing when I got it. It's actually looks like it belongs there (though I would prefer a stock one). It's only a taillight I think, the brakes on three wheelers don't activate another filament, they don't have any true brake lights.... though I would like to rig something up on my 350X that would work like that (since I have nothing at all right now).

Front axle/bearings:

I know on the 200S and the 350X the front axle has threads that go into the left hand fork, there is no axle nut. If you have play in the front axle it's likely that your bearings are badly worn. Usually by that point it's too late to take them out and repack them with grease. It's a good idea to take it apart and make sure that all the parts aren't seized with rust.... you can inspect the bearings and repack them with grease and get a little more life out of them. If they get too sloppy they'll mess up your brake drums though, so better check it out.

nerf bars:

Keep your feet on your pegs, that's what I always try to do. I always worry that my girlfriend will put her leg down when she's on the back of my 350X.... Geeze, that's a horrible nightmare.

Drum brake maintainence:

Drum brakes aren't hard to figure out, They're really basic, however, disassembly can be a challenge if it hasn't been apart and things are stuck! Once you get it apart I suggest grease or anti-seize compound for easy assembly and the next time you need to take it apart!!

Good luck dude!

The brakes are simple on the back take off the wheel and the two screw on the drum and you done. the brakes are just as easy on the front take the wheel off and the caliper falls right off. (well it should, i dont have one on my sx but my 200 dose) as for a trailer tail light it will work you dont have a brake light its just a tail light. the muffler is still avail. from honda, but hope you have some big bucks! and sounds like you need some front wheel bearings, i got myn from dennis kirk and for the price of both bearings and seals from dennis kirk i could get one bearing from honda. so even the shipping is worth it. good luck, and for snow tires im going with some chenching (<- didnt spell it right ) C-828 Cheverons this winter. jc whitney has em for 39 bucks.

The cobra utility series is probably your best bet if you want quiet. They're as quiet as the stocker and you don't lose much, if any, power.

thanks everyone for the info. the only problem with my brakes is that the drain plug for the rear drum was MISSING, therefore, the entire drum filled with mud and crap and its a horror show. so i'll have to sort that junk out later. I needed the two wing nuts to hold the rear brake cables in place, but for 9 bucks a piece i said screw it, i'll wrap it in duct tape if i have to. I didn't think cobra built a utility pipe for the 250sx, thats what i've been looking for.

you might have to actually CALL b/c I've found that most atv places only list quad stuff, but can actually get lots of trike parts if you ask.

the wingnuts on the brake cables are simple to get around, make a spacer out of a peice of copper oil line that just fits over the threaded end and use a 6mm regular pitch nut and just bolt it on youll just have to jam nut the nut its not oo bad though, i ran my dirtbike a long time thatway.
