and by the way: HondaATC from 3ww is in the process of finishing a xr500 powered 350x right now.
my personal choice would be: The warrior with that engine unless the 350x didnt have an engine in it. If it does....leave it alone!

yeah, if the 350X already has a 350cc engine then you probably should take your hacksaw to the Quad.

are you all crazy? put it in the 350x:headbang: i seriously doubt you will need the performance of a dual carb on the 350x chassis. i doubt you could keep the front tire down through 4th gear :demon:

What year model XR 500? I had a 83 and it had dual carbs on it stock. Boy that thing would fly but it wasn't much fun to jump. Just to heavy and it would bottom those shocks out.

the xr is an 80. and i have been thinking some more, (i know its dangerous, but it had to be done) but would i be able to stick that motor into a trx250r quad, i am going to look at one this weekend hopefully and its for $1800 (canadain), if it runs good i will likely keep it like that for a while till i rebuild and deck out my 500 motor

I never liked the dual carb setup on a single cylinder engine. I know the performance gain to it. BUT If it was such a great idea, why not do ANYTHING with performance? Like Trx 250-300ex-400ex...etc? Why only certain models.
Plus I have has to work on a couple. The second carb comes in around 1/4 throttle anyway. Only 1 carb has a pilot jet and screw. The second only has main and needle.
DON"T get me wrong. It LOOKS cool. If your frame wasn't/isn't made for it. Why cut that out? But then again. Who likes same old thing...
This is just my opinion!!!! I like tricked out stuff too. So if you have the ability/means to do it..DO IT!
