In my 85 350x manual is says something like 1.?? something quarts of oil to put in. Whenever I would do that it would never come up on the dipstick so I think that had to be a misprint, cause it always takes approximately a little over 2 quarts to get it to the upper mark where they say its suppose to be on the dipstick.

Yes, it takes almost 2 qts. Don't over fill or the seals and gaskets may fail. It is better to be between half way and full on the upper and lower marks.;)

Does the manual say to thread it in the check it or not? Also, there should be two different oil capacity numbers, One for after a rebuild and one for just a regular oil change. Is this a Honda manual or Clymer?

It's right under 2 quarts. For an oil change you will end up w/ a little bit left in the 2nd can.

Its a Honda manual, i think it says 1.9 US quarts but after doing exactly what they say, starting the atc and letting it idle for 3 minutes with 1 quart of oil and then completely filling it doesnt come up to where it should, maybe cause I always change my filter too. Well we'll see what happens I have to change the oil soon anyway, the seal around the oil filter housing and lower cooler line are leaking, maybe cause I overfilled. Anyway I check the oil with the dipstick not threaded in the way it says in the manual.
