View Full Version : 70's are great, but what about 110s?

I'm really only interested in ATC70s (although I'm suddenly becoming a 350x fan), but I've found a pair of trikes for sale, one being a 110. So, I have some questions I'm sure you can answer.

Is the 110 worth messing around with at all? It appears to be in decent condition, but isn't running at the moment. All the plastic seems to be good, and I'm checking on tank rust. I'm sure the tires are old.

So, are 110s any fun? It seems to be too big to put little kids on, but not big enough for adults. Is it worth the time to clean and fix? Is it only good as a motor donor for a custom 70 project? How much is a complete 110 engine worth?

All opinions welcome.

Thanks,

Dan

They're plenty big for an average sized adult. If you're extra tall it might be a bit cramped. I'm 6' tall and have no issues with it. Don't expect to set any speed records, however, but still lots of fun! Haven't ridden mine in a long time because it needs a new chain and sprockets. It was absolutely TONS of fun in the snow.

BTW - I'd like to see some pics of your CT70s !

The 110's are great screw around machines. I lost my trike virginity on a 110. Get it..

Hey, come to think of it... my first time (on a 3-wheeler) was on a 90, which is almost the same. That was a long, long time ago! Even in my youth, I remember thinking it was pretty slow.

Here's a photo of the Trail 70 I traded for my nice ATC70. It had a shredded seat and didn't run when I got it, but swapped an interesting seat from my other bike and got it running well.

I can't find a good photo of my emerald green CT70H. It's not perfect, either, but it's a lot nicer than this red one.

Wow, thanks for the trip down memory lane! Your 70 looks great - also looks like most of the original parts are there. Those things were so much fun. Not real fast, but lots of fun! I'd sure like to find either a CT70 or, even better, a SL70. Unfortunately, most of the SL's were either beat to death or are bringing stupid money when in decent condition. :(
