Quick question: are there any DOT certified 3 wheeler tires?
I'll be able to use any wheel size I want as it's a custom build. Don't want to start the build for some street use if I can't get street tires, ya know? Thanks!

Well, nothing 'til I find DOT 3 - 4 wheeler tires!
But, plans: I live in a remote mountainous area, 25 miles to any town, 50 in the other direction. Top speed on the roads, pushing it hard, is 45-50 mph. I want a 3 wheeler for grocery runs. I have a '69 Honda SL-90 frame & forks, so thinking about using it for a 3-wheeler chassis. I have a black/yellow CA license plate for it and can street register.
Probably go with 100-150 cc and not built for high speed, no hurry here. Lots of back roads & trails here. Only thing bugging me is the SL-90 was a one year only Honda and I hate to modify something rare. Just bare chassis but complete, so may see if some avid collector wants to trade for another frame.
Anyways, that's the plan....

there are many choices avalible but you won't find them under ATV listings. Most small trailer tires will work. they are avalible for 8"rims. for 11" front rims some compact cars use rims as small as 10"-12". you'll just have do do some research
