i've decided on a chain slider from an '07 LTZ450 to modify for my '83 ATC250r. the part is $16 from the suzuki dealer, they have it in stock, and should be available for many more years. its overall length and rear mounting tabs line up with the origional threaded hole on the honda swing arm. i'll need to do some metal fab for the attatchment point, but it appears very doable. i'll post pics when done.

this thread may need to be moved to mod  no modifications were performed on the HONDA, this is a bolt on modification to replace the origional chain slider, which has dried up, disintegrated and is no longer available.

Looks sweet. If in time it works out perfect you could have a cleaner look by welding tabs onto the swinger. But, it looks just fine and functional as it is...

tech tip! :hail: You should fab up some more of those straps and sell them as a kit.

that thought has crossed my mind ;) , which is why i wanted to keep it "bolt on". i would need a spare 83/84 swinger to use as a jig, with a little practice, i could probably build the bracket in an hour?. slider is about 1/2 hour to modify ?. i'm kinda waiting to see what the interest might be. i posted to 3ww also, with a link back to this thread. if i fall into a spare swinger, i may pop a couple on to ebay to see what happens.

Yeah I doubt it will be a big profit center, but you will have that rewarding feeling knowing that you helped out fellow trikers. :lala:
