carb question

ok i have a modified 200s engine that has a bassani exhaust on it. it currently has a 26mm carb. i have an opportunity to get a 30mm for it. my question is...will a 30mm carb work on my motor ?? if so does anyone have a range of main jets it would need ?

If all you did was change the exh. and air fillter, going to a bigger carb. will not help. you can not add more air and fuel than the cylinder can hold.

i think a 30mm will be overkill for a motor that only has a pipe. The big racers back in the day used 31mm carbs so unless you have it ported, cam, valved, and high compression piston, i wouldn't see the need.

i have all the above done to it. even the intake manifold has bin ported.
