how long has the noise been happening? Did it progress over a year or more or did it just start up a week ago? Valves usually don't start tapping out of the blue. They tap due to clearance caused by wear.... which in a Honda takes a LONG LONG time. I would check out header pipe gaskets and things like that to make sure your ticking noise isn't something simple and easy. (or not so easy as the case might be)

have you ridden through any deep water lately? what color is your oil? when was the last time you changed it? whatever you do quit riding until it's figured out.

it started tapping like 2 weeks ago, no havnt ridden through deep water just changed the oil (every 3 weeks )and my oil is normal, but someone said that since the engine was all apart and everything, that they usually do that since the engine has been overhauled

I think it would be reasonable to expect valves being out of adjustment after a rebuild.

take the plug out, the tank off. the valve caps off. timimng plug out. set the flywheel at tdc feel the rockers to be sure there loose. set at .002. put it back together. valves will almost always need to be reset after a rebuild atleast checked within a short time/miles. so your right on
