250 big red muffler Q's

Ok...the muffler goes back and the last 5 inches or so is what I see as the spark arrestor(looks like that's what it says on the side). Could I hacksaw that off for some more airflow?(i'm getting a new muffler soon, just wanted to try it lol) Would anything behind it in the bigger part of the muffler get loose because of this?

you won't gain any performance advantage by doing this. there should be two bolts on the bottom you can take loose to remove it if you still want to try.

Hmm, mine's welded on, heh. I want a louder sounding machine, it sounds like it's underwater compared to the Foreman! Not too loud, not too quiet.

it's welded, but you can take out the inner core from the end of it. take those two bolts loose and you'll see what I mean.

Unless you are either on crack, or doing a conversion. Both are fair excuses to be a wreckless moron....not so much the conversion ;0)
