So My buddy got his hands on these two bikes. 1 was running and the other had a broke crank. I bought the one with the broke crank. I'm slowly rebuilding it. So we ran into a bit of a problem. The head has a 7 bolt patern. And the piston mic's out to 76mm. What cylinder do we have. All the info I run into has a 6 bolt patern. All the gasket kits we find have the 6 bolt set up. Any help would be great.

The Hondaline 300 kit is the one with the 7 bolt head. Stock top ends have 6.
Another way to tell, the 300 kit's head has all the cooling fins vertical where the stock head has the fins on the side of the head at an angle.
I hope your 300 top end is still good because the Honda parts are discontinued and replacements seem to be pricey. There are options, other members have found sources for parts but I don't remember what it initialed off hand.
Oh, where are my manors, welcome to the board

a person on ebay sells kits for the hondaline 300R kit. You send in your top end and he machines it for the piston he uses. It costs 150-200 dollars or so for a new bore, piston, and the work done. So I think it is worth it..

The 300cc cyl sleeves are thin and tend to crack at the bottom. Hope yours is ok?

Well Fire does he resleeve Cylinders? Because one of mine has a broken skirt. They both are hondaline 300 kits. We found pistons and gaskets for them. but not sure if I want to spend the$400 to make it a 300 again. I just might go back to stock for the time being. Till I get some $$$ together. Beside this bike for me is a side project. I got the whole bike for $100 form my buddy. His on the other hand he wants it up and running for a trip to the dunes. And he has the $$ to toss at it. Thanks every one
