Hi I’m Andrew.
I have been riding trikes for the last 12 years or so so consequently I have been working on them that long as well. I only have one small place to ride locally so I don’t get out to ride much, instead I spend most of my 3-wheeling time working on the trikes which I enjoy almost as much as riding. There is just something about taken a beat up and neglected old trike and turning it into something nice again that I love.
Currently I have 3-4 trikes lol, depends who you ask:rolleyes: . First is my rider, a 1983 Honda atc 200e. I bought this 3 or 4 years ago from a friend who was the original owner. I still keep it in his barn and take it out he couple of times each year, it is a solid machine that it a typical Honda; reliable. Unfortunately it is the opposite style of what I want so it’s days are numbered.
Next a pair of atc 70’s.
The ‘84 is a set of points away from being done. I bought it last spring and have been sandblasting, painting, and plating ever since. It’s not an OEM restoration but will be a nice, clean yard trike. Maybe I can convince my sister my niece is ready to ride (she will be 4 1/2 this summer).
I also picked up an ’85 roller this fall, it was one of the impulse ebay buys which turned out ok as I robbed the lower end, head, pull start, and front plate for the ’84. I still haven’t decided what I am going to do with the roller.
Lastly I sort of have a YTM200 project. How many parts do I need before I can consider it a trike:lmao: ? My last project was a YTM200 (sold it this fall) and I acquired a lot of extra parts as well as performance parts for it, all of which I kept. I still need some front end pieces, rear end, tank, seat, electrical, many a bw engine;) and mics. pieces. This build is on hold for now and will resume when I get a full time job (I graduate college in May). Hopefully when he build continues 4cylinders will have a new rear suspension kit ready for it, right now he has my old one for specs.
Sorry for older pictures, the latest ones are on the computer that is awaiting a video card.
