85 200x Exhaust

Hey guys, I'm in the final stages of getting my 200x up and going and i have a question. I am looking into aftermarket exhausts for it and son't know much about them. Now what i am looking at are the Aluminum Cobra, the Aluminum or steel DG RCM, or the Chrome DG (Krome Power) Now i am leaning for the Cobra due to the price and I remeber hearing they are a good pipe.
Anyway i was looking for some info on anybody who has used these, and how they liked them. I know i've heard the Cobra's are loud, but i also read in some shootouts that the DG's are one of the loudest brands of exhaust.

I also have a White Bro's R4 slip on from a Kawi KFX400 that i am looing into modding to fit that a friend gave to me. from mock ups it doesn't seem to be that big of a chore (shortening the stinger a bit and sizing it down to the 200X header.

Any help would be appreciated

I love the DG..... ITs a nice set-up.. I am going to be running the Cobra on the wifes bike... just the black model..
I will let you know how it works.. I heard its killer loud.

I prefer on the 200x's a cobra over a DG. If you dont use the WB pipe i woudnt mind it. I need one for my gf's 400. Too bad i dont still have my bassani.

Why is the Bassani better than the cobra or DG?? I ask because I have a Bassani on mine.

Bassani's are oldschool top end pipes. I had one on one of my 200x's and the only thing I 'd be worried about with one of those is wheelieing to high and breaking it. The cobra has a really deep sound but the headpipe is prone to burning off all of the paint and rusting.

Go with the Cobra!

I bought cobra's for my 85 200x and yeah all the paint burns right off and they rust. I really love the chrome DG pipe cause in my opinion it sounds better than a cobra and plus it looks way better!! If you want it to look and sound good go for the chrome DG!

i have a white bros for a 200x and a super trapp laying on my shelf. I ahve run the super trapp and it was a nice pipe. the cobras would be my last choice.

The Cobra is disgustingly loud, you'll piss off everyone around you.....

Unfortunately, there aren't allot of choices......

I'd grab a newer model aftermarket silencer and make a midpipe to join it to the stock header. Quieter and great performance if you jet it...........
