Well we need to start a thread so peeeps can look at pics and read ideas on the 70 battery location issue.

Here is the one I did, I copied the idea from Tres (I give credit). You need to fab up a box and mount it this high off the skid plate so you can get to the chain adjuster bolts. You will have to remove the inner support inside the frame , and I do not see a prob. with that. Some people seemed concerned about it but many will say it does not weaken the frame, I think it just there to keep dirt from building up to much. As for a battery I used a YTZ7S off a CRF450X it is the smallest battery I could find and it has 130CCA, that will crank a Lifan. Also I mounted a Battery Tender lead to it andleft the end out and ziptied under the grabbar so you can keep it topped off if you are not running it enough.

I hope this helps some.

Hey Blue or Tres, do you have the wiring diagram for the Lifan electric start motor? Also, did your motor come with the main harness? I got my motor today and I didn't realize the main harness wasn't included my dumb a$$. There is a complete electrical system on Ebay for the CT70 and it has everything but not sure if it will work with my motor. Any insite is very much appreciated.

I bought my last motor with a harness to make life easier. The first one we had to figure stuff out since it was not a complete harness. Here are some pics I had. Search Glamis also I think there is some infio there. Dr ATV http://www.dratv.com/eninkico.html has some wiring pics also.

One more thing I can't figure out. There is a 6 pin connerctor with 5 wires coming out of the left case just above the sprocket. I'm not sure what this is? it has
position 1 Green/red
position 2 empty
position 3 yellow/red
position 4 orange
position 5 blue/red
position 6 green/blue??

Any idea what this plug is and what it plugs in to?

The Green and red wire is for the Neutral light. Its a ground so when your in neutral it can ground out for a light (I did this on mine) the rest on that plug I do not know, lol Mine runs without out them.

I fabricated my battery tray this weekend. I bought the smallest Walmart battery I could find. The battery fits beautifully. Don't look too close at the spot weld too close. I need to work on my tecnique but hey, it works. I bought a couple of harnesses from DRATV to begin the harness build. As I get things built and installed, I'll post more pics.
