Hey there everyone. I started out riding 2-wheelers 35 years ago on a Z50 Honda. Then 2 years later started racing 2-Wheelers in MX, TT, H&H, + desert in Central Oregon (Bend) back when the Honda XR-75 WAS the mini-cycle to beat! Then over the years a YZ100 and YZ250 Yamahas. My little brother & I were of the strong 2-wheel opinion that; "Those ATC's are dangerous and folks riding them were nutso!"
After a long 26 year interm of no dirt riding. (Lots of reasons why, but none that seem to make sense now!) I, for no sane reason, bought a '85 ATC200X. Of course I was a "expert dirt rider/ racer" and it might be fun to 'diddle around' putt-putting around on it. Well Mr. "expert" almost convinced himself again that these things were ill-handling, funky things that belonged some-where other than under sane folks! In other words- I couldn't ride it! The thing don't turn or handle like a "Real 'sickle!
I was right! IT HANDLES LIKE A ATC!! The thing is a blast to ride!!! Lucky me, I have a flexible hour job---Or I'd Be JOBLESS! Converted 4-Sure. 2-Wheels SUCK! 3 Wheels are THE ONLY WAY! (Lil' brother thinks I'm not well!)
Hell! I'm not sane, and don't miss sanity at all!!! Bye for now, I'm off Ridin'!!

Welcome to the board Ed! Great story, and if you're anything like the rest of us here, you're fascination will soon turn into an addiction for the 3 wheelers!:headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

To late! I'm so addicted there is no hope. Thank God for that. Also I'll mention here that I manage a RV park here in Kingman, AZ. It's on West Route 66 (also called Oatman Rd.) and called; Canyon West RV Park. If any trike riders are passin' thru'. Then feel welcome to stop in and say; "Hey!" to a fellow nut! If you need a space 4 a nite or 5. email me at: rvmanager@frontiernet.net If you're registered with 3wheeler.org or at 3wheeler world.com I'll give you a $5.00 discount off the daily rate or $20 off the 5-day rate just for sharing my recent insanity. Let's Ride! Pictures to come.

Cut one wheel off all your cars and trucks. Eat, breath, and live trikes. In other words, YOUR A$$ BELONGS TO US. hahahahahahahahah There's no hell, it's really 3W.org and we never close. See you on the other side pretty boy.

Hello fellow 3 wheeled adicted person. Welcome to the board. You'll love it here. I'm a convert too (except it was from four). Never in my Wildest dreams did I think I'd ride on 3. "They were just to dangerous, unsafe creatures that needed another wheel" but in my search for a 4 legged creature (4 wheeler:eek: ) I stumbled on a three wheeler. It was the right price, (free, can't beat that :headbang: ) so I'd thought I'd try it. Man I was surprised. Never thought riding three would be so much fun. Now I'm call the cazy insane neibor by all my neibors, but I wouldn't trade it for any 4 legged creature. Now I own two three wheelers and might be buying another one from a friend.
Welcome again!

It's an RV Park. Just across Route 66 and through the wash is a cool MX track that was abandoned. We rip around on that as well as in the washes and there are tons of trails through the hills as well.

Run over your foot yet?
Ed200X
03-18-2008, 08:16 AM
Years ago, running over my own foot would have seemed strange enough to make me stop and reconsider my thought process . . . . TOOOOOOO LATE!
Ain't Ya supposed to run over your foot a few times?? As sort of a test? If you stop ridin' the 3 after doing that, you're a hopelessly lost 2 (or 4) wheeler. It weeds out the sane ones thus keeping the tribe pure. I remember thinkin' to myself after the 3rd or 4th time; "Damn, I gotta stop puttin' my foot down!"
That should make ya chuckle once I remind ya I raced 2-hoops for years in MX, TT, and (My older favorite) Flat-Track! Want another grinner?? That first ride on my 200X-----I killed the motor 5 times, almost took out the 'Park's' fence twice, missed a 38 foot 5th wheel RV (it was parked!) by a breath, and lastly, missed a telephone pole by an eyelash. Never did hit 3rd gear come ta think about it! Bear in mind that all this happened while trying to get the beast down to my shop which was only 500 feet or so away!
I was out ridin' (re-learning) @ 9:00am next morning!! YEE-HAW!
