i dont know, i was wondering if it were similar to a 250r or a tri-z motor and what kind of frame it would fit in.

ask.com replys; QT 250r = quadtech trx 250r honda carbon fiber hood scoop, perhaps the engine came from a qt equipped trx? it almost appears to read honda on the side cover,

so then just possibly the engine is worth taking a look at?

No. That is not an ATC/TRX motor. (No counterbalancer) Looks to be a motorcycle engine, so the gearing is off. Besides, it is rarely a good idea to buy an engine without hearing it run, IMO.

The ad is mis-labeled and I recognize that : it is a Suzuki Quadracer LT250R 85-86 motor. Very fast but they were kind of fragile, the cylinder skirt is unsupported and prone to breaking off in the case, trans gears break easy, stator, rotor and CDI problems. But then again only broken quads are brought in for service.
