Hey, I bought one of those too from Motorhead. Just got it today. If it's a little tight, I blow some compressed air in to the tank to get it to open up the frame tube valley. My SX tank was way too tight to get on. I used the air method and after it's been on there a while it holds it's shape. Don't blow too much air in. Just enough to get the tank to flex just a bit.

This one fit perfect. The only thing i had to do was clean up the fuel outlets. as soon as its warm outside i can wash it up for a better pic. seat cover is next

Every Clarke tank I've bought had plastic chunks in them from manufacturing. Alway alway alwas wash them out.

What was wrong with the metal tank?

Mine leaked first time I put gas in the tank. A little epoxy fixed that right up.
