200X Kickstarter Trouble

My 85 200x was running great and one day i go out to ride and kick it over and the kickstarter goes down like normal and then stays down it didnt return i pulled it back by hand and the engine turns backwards with it i was wondering if anyone knew what happened internally and how to fix it

Yes, your return spring broke and I hate to be the one to say this, but you have to remove the engine, remove the top end and split the case to repair it.

alright well since the cases have to be split im going to make it a 6 speed by using my xr 200 cases that has a bad crank so i will have the local trike master pull the crank out of my 200x and put it in the xr cases and reverse the kicker and then have me a 6 speed 85 200x
