Put in a new piston and rings a fixed a stuck valve, now I need to tim the cam chain and valves. Bought a haynes book, but still have a few questions.
1. How to you Find TDC with the head off and without taking flywheel off or whats the difference between TDC on Comp stroke or TDC on exhaust stroke?
2.Once you find TDC, is says to point cam lobes downward, install sprocket so "O" points to the top or 12 oclock. Then lower cylinder down, and line "O" up with notch. This is at 3 oclock??? Any help would be great, I'm trying to get this running for a birthday party this weekend. Thanks, this is a 82 ATC 70.
