I want to convert the 3 lug rear hubs to 4 lug hubs on my 225dx so I can buy some rear aluminum wheels for the trike.

Has anybody on the forum converted their trimoto over to like a set of blaster, warrior, or banshee rear hubs? Was it just a unbolt and bolt up process?

Also, has anybody converted the front hub over to a 4 lug hub? If so, what machine did you use as the donor to do it?

Thanks for the help,
Doug

Well that link doesn't provide any info regarding yamaha rear hubs fitting which models. Anybody know if the splines are the same on blaster, warrior, banshee, tri z hubs as the trimoto rear hubs?

Hold on there mon frere.... I just summoned Mr Raffa. He's my Yamaha goto guy.... there's something that will go onto a 225DX cause I recall him telling me to get some type of hub so I could run my in-law's Raptor rims....

I thought you told me his Raptor hubs would go on the same spline, cause I looked to see if he had any extra hubs... but again, I don't want to post anything unless I KNOW it works....

hey 360x go out and count your splines.. then I will know

ok the spline count on a tri-z is 24 so that would make the Banshee,Raptor, warrior, blaster,YFZ all the same

triz and blaster are 4/100 pattern
banshee, raptor, warrior,YFZ are 4/115 hope that helps!

The spline count on the trimoto 225dx is "24" and I double-checked it. So since the spline count is the same, does that mean that the other hubs afore mentioned will work fine?

I really appreciate all of your help because my little yammy is not even a roller without any rear wheels and tires.....lol

Thanks,
Doug

yes go for the 4/115 hubs..also there's aftermarket companys that make a yamaha spline with a honda bolt pattern.. depending on how crazy you want to get ..

lol, he asked me yesterday and I was drawing a blank.

I have been told the blaster, warrior, and raptor fit but haven't tried them out. Slightly worn Honda 200x and the like will fit as well, they need to be used though as new hubs will be too tight. If you want the Honda 4x110 pattern go with the X or even +1 offset EX hubs.

thats right.. I went looking for 200x hubs and came home with the hole bike:lmao:

So you're saying that X rear hubs will work on the Trimoto as well? Wish I would've seen this before I bought some banshee rear hubs....:chuckle: Oh well. I might find a great deal on some OEM Yamaha wheels and tires....

Well I decided to get some 400ex rear hubs because I had my stock 85 R gold wheels and tires that I could put on the rear of the 225dx.

Outside of having to somewhat tap them on with a hammer since they were a little bit tight, it worked great and now my little yammi is a roller at least.

Huh... I tried a set and they wouldn't go on a 225DX/200ERN axle I had lying around. I didn't use a hammer though. I did this after seeing an ad in Dennis Kirk for replacement trike hubs for HONDA ATCs, and the same manufacturer offering Yamaha Blaster hubs with a 4/110 pattern and looked at the part numbers and they were the same.

Another option I'm pursuing, is some late model Yamaha Utility golf carts use a 4/110 pattern on the rear hub. Going to see if I can snag one and test. Then I can say "No Honda's were harmed in updating this Yamaha" :nono:

I have the Banshee rear hubs in case your interested in them.

Nothing wrong with them, I just decided it was cheaper to find a set of 400ex hubs vs finding a set of yamaha rear tires and wheels.

Let me know.

Thanks man... my brother-in-law has his Raptor up for sale, and he said I could have his extra set of rims with paddle tires. Otherwise, I'd like to get the 4-110's because I primarily ride red... :headbang:
