No, thats an 83-85 one. Notice the little tab for the mount UNDER the tailpipe. 86/87's have only one mounting tab...it up top.

No that combo wont work--cobra/stock.

I guess you can go look @ bikebandit

Dline that would be nice I am very interested in the "guard" part and how it looks plus mounting. I like my exhaust just fine I just want my kids to sit in front with me. If you could email me those picts, jenndnn3@netzero.com I could try and figure out how to make my own guard!!

the oregon dunes recraction book. the part where it tells about the laws. look for the part where it has the under age kid premits db. level, flags ect. i think it maybe new this yr. this is the 1st year i,ve seen it anyway. next year we,ll be wearing seat belts, fire ex, shovel and a bucket of water.(bucket of ice for the beer. shovel to dig a hoel for the bucket. seat belt to hold the beer on the bike. fire ex to write names in the sand).

Ok I had to reseach this...and no there is no law:D Just recommendations, big leap to unlawful which is why no tickets are written. (yet) I use that word because I know the state I live in. This what I came up with, it is under Oregon revised statues chapter 821, While they address the the word atv made for 2 person they give no definitions; ie seat length, extra foot pegs, blah blah. The only specific thing is the Helmet. So easily fought and won in a court. You have to give a definition in order to impose a law, otherwise you get jack@sses like me who will find loopholes. The usual ride with someone either on the same vehicle or seperate vehicle in sight with 18 or older with valid drivers license still works. They dont even require my kids to take classes or get a permit to operate, unless I let them ride by themselves.....which I will never do. The only quircky thing I found that I did not know is the kids have to have an operators permit to ride in the snow. So back to my question exhaust guard?? Any ideas?? I actually got upset when I read that, I do try hard to follow law. as stupid as it is.

P.s. I not as crabby as this sounds.....then again maybe I am

I think you will find its agains the law in all states to ride two on a vehical that was designed for one person. some states put in better laws after so many pasengers get run over. Honda was putting stikers on that stated one person only.

i guess i,ve never been one to follow rules as you can see. it is nice to know what the rules are when you can find them, some seem to be hidden away. if you go to DUNE FEST.COM hit on rules you will find a short summary of some of the laws in oregon dunes. in the dmv and dune rec (blm) book it states "foot pegs" for each rider. i didnt do it,but i wouldnt ride two anyway. right now i,am in a group fighting with USFS on dunes access. there closing off the last few free parking areas. also other points used by locals that can ride from home to the sand. the next thing to look forward to is that the pritave and state land at winchester bay has been sold. this land is to be turn in to a campground, staging, store, ect all pay for use. then the public parking there is to be closed to atv, atc, buggy staging. parking for beach access only. when i started playing in the sand there were no rules. just our own which was fly a flag, so we could see each other. so if you want to see some people pi$$ed about rules come on down.

Personaly i dont think it is a law more of a manufactors suggestion. That the machine is only intended for the driver only. No passengers should ride on the handle bars or fenders. Because there is a 250 bigred riding all over town with like 5 girls riding on it. And they go right down main street with it and i have never seen them get stopped for it. I think it is a way for the manufactors to not get sued by someone getting hurt. By putting the stickers on the machine releases them from any liability.

jenn; i was not try to start a fight with you!! only to make you aware of somthing i know you dont know. as in the case of a 200x in the sand. dmv,s part is only that it may be close to you. you can get one of the orv handbooks for free . it does not cotant all the laws. the usfs ore dunes dosent, have it all either. i was only trying to help on somthing you may not be aware of. not some one that knows it all. i have a life time of living her and only last month found that we are suppose to have on us while riding the premit for the orv tag (white forum) and our d/l. which i wont carry out in the sand and loose it. i went over the link you posted. its all there, i didnt read the snowmoblie part because i,am not dealing with that. the only thing i dont see is the bit on foot pegs. i,ve only seen that in the ore dunes regs. law i dont know, but the way it is written it makes it look it.????????????????????? i,ve seen people get big fines over little things. my son had his toy p.u 4x4 imponded mhy no orv tag cost? 1100.00.only trying to help. sorry

p.s. on that link read the heading. ( not offical text of law) then at the end of each ruling they give you a ors # which will be the complete ruling of the section (law). the only argument i see that can be here is what ore defines as. equiment need to be safe foe two to ride one one atc/atv???????????? this affects all of us not just you

No worry no fight,, It is irrelevent anyway Marshall who is 5 will be 6 in Feb already knows how to drive by himself. And will be on his own. When we upgrade Regan to the 90 2stroke quad all the kids will go for thier operators permits......and we tag everything we own or shoot so we are cool there. We "were" gonna ride in the snow this year....but know i have to figure that out for the kids. Sorry I got upset....Jen
