Pistonhead I believe the last year that the YT125 was made had shocks. Also a set of shocks off of a YT175 should bolt right on. You just need to locate one.

my old dirtwheels have lots of kit mfg's that offer front fork conversions. it shouldn't be too hard to retrofit as long as you can find roughly the equivalent steering head size.

u just gotta find the parts. i had a yamaha dt 100, it had susuki forks and honda swingarm. Used to tell mom i needed a new bike cause the bailing wire and duct tape was wearing out. u wouldn't believe the crap we did just to get something running to go ride. but that dt 100 was a real work of art for a 2 wheeler

I just recently had the same idear for mine, bought some forks on ebay from a 225, triple tree, front axle, handle bar clamps, and it was a pretty simple bolt on mod.
The frustrating parts, was finding the right bolt, that attaches the tree to the front. I believe it is 14mm fine thread, forgot the length.
Now the trimoto looks chopped/lowered. I post a pic.
Next plans, hmm...rebuild the engine, contemplate how to build a custom swingarm, have rough idea, and last but not least (drum roll please) engine swap--440 rotax belt to chain drive (yeah, right!)
