Welcome to the board Gus. Ya plan on doing some muddin with your SX? Stock, the SX airbox inlet is about 24" off the ground. If you want to go higher use your imagination. Routing is a problem for a 2inch plus hose. You could see if you can find a long piece of radiator hose. Remove the airbox and connect the radiator hose to the carb. Run it under the fender and out the rear. You can get a 90' PVC elbow to run a piece of radiator hose up.

Your gonna have to snorkle the exhaust pipe as well. You definitly don't want to get water down your exhaust pipe. You have to find something large enough to go over the end of the pipe and be able to secure it firmly. Go wander around the plumbing section of Home Depot. A 3" PVC 90' elbow, 2 3/4" sheetmetals and a tube of high temp silicone should do it. Screw it and glue it. Once installed, cut a piece of 3 inch PVC about 12 to 18" long and glue it in to the 90' elbow. You should be able to pert near run the thing completely submerged.

I was looking at my SX and that's doable. Cut the snorkles so they are about 10-12 inches above the rear fender. Make sure to wear your swim fins and goggles but for God's sake leave the thong at home.

Also remember to extend the rear diff breather and the engine breather hose or you'll be mixing milkshakes!

I actually got the airbox/intake snorkel done yesterday!!! it works great! i made it out of 1.5 in abs pipe which come directly out of the airbox. i had to use an inline 45 and a sweep 90 connected by a very short piece of abs in order to make it come out far enough to connect the long piece to. the only prombel is it comes out on the left side of the 3 wheeler so i am thinking about extending it so it comes out the back by the grab bar so it sout of the way. but i still need ideas and suggestions for the exhaust snorkel. i would like to be able to make it so i can take it on and off as desired if that is possible.
