are there any coils that would be an upgrade from a stock 200x coil ? such as a 300ex or something ?

Yes that is what were on the hunt currently for. But a upgrade.

What are you hoping to accomplish with an upgrade??

I would look into or research the full electrical swapout and see what is compatible to the crank, outer cover, cdi and so on...

i crossed the coils (cross referenced ) and the 200x and xr200 are the same but the plugs they use. im almost thinking about using a old 244cc sled ignition coil. but as for the cdi (black box) i have no idea what to use. im thinking maybe a 300ex or something of that sort ?

heres a performance cdi for the xr200. i dont think the plug from the 200X will fit this cdi box or the stock xr200 box, but the auction says it can be hand connected.
