Extending 350X Swingarm

I wan't to extend my swingarm but I'm not to sure how far.

I talked to a gentleman at the quad shop and he recomended not to have my stock arm extended because it would add to much weight. He suggested having a custom one made ($500-$700), not really looking to spend that much.

Does it really add alot of weight having a stock arm extended or not.

How far should I go? All I want to do is to keep the nose down a little......Later

yes adding a extension will add some weight but not much more then a extended swingarm will . as far as how long i would not go more then 1 1/2" if your just looking to keep thefront tire down a little bit anything longer will compromise turning. Back in the day the desert 350X's used to heve 3" extensions but they sacrificed turning ability but it was not a issue for Baja type events.
